“Catch the Reading Bug” this summer as you read great books and join us for fun activities. Anything you read and anything that is read to you counts toward your reading time. Read books, magazines or newspapers. Read to yourself or to someone else. Listen to audiobooks or to someone else reading to you. Have fun reading and listening! Receive a small prize and enter a drawing after you read or listen to books for 3, 6, and 9 hours. Enter the drawing again for each additional 3 hours. Everyone who completes at least 6 hours of reading will receive a certificate and prize bag at the end of the program. Monday, June 16 is the first day to register for the Summer Reading Program and pick up a reading log. Tuesday, July 1 is the first day to show us your reading logs and earn prizes. Thursday, August 7 is the last day to enter the prize drawing. Registration is required for some programs to help us prepare space and materials. You may register for programs at the circulation desk or by phone (734-439-1240). The Summer Reading Program is funded by the Friends of Milan Public Library. We appreciate their generous support each year.
