Others Present:  Marianne Hartzell and Joseph Mika from Hartzell-Mika Consulting LLC
Valorie Gleason (trustee candidate, arrived at 8:03 PM).

III. Meeting with representatives of Hartzell-Mika Consulting LLC

The Milan Public Library Board of Trustees met with representatives of Hartzell-Mika Consulting LLC, a consulting, training and executive search firm that exclusively works with libraries.  Ms. Hartzell and Mr. Mika reviewed and sought input on the proposed hiring timeline, the director position description, advertisement options and costs, the proposed salary, and priorities to consider.

IV. Other Business

The MPL Board met with trustee candidate Valorie Gleason.
MOTION:  Recess special public meeting at 8:13 PM to meet in executive session to consider candidates for the MPL Board of Trustees vacancy, by DeKorte / Biederman, approved unanimously.
MOTION:  Resume special public meeting at 8:18 PM, by Biederman / Zawacki, approved unanimously.
MOTION:  Appoint Valorie Gleason to fill MPL Board of Trustees vacancy, by Biederman / Sabo, approved unanimously.

V. Adjournment MOTION:  Adjourn at 8:20 PM, by Zawacki, approved unanimously.
